Desert Creek Custom Steel Cantilever Carport Extension in Phoenix
A custom steel carport extension in Phoenix, built onto an existing triplex carport and matched to the original design and color so it blends in seamlessly. New covered parking, welded steel, built to handle the Arizona sun.
This Phoenix project added a new covered parking bay to an existing carport at a triplex apartment complex. The goal was simple but not easy: extend the structure to shade another space without it looking like an add-on. Desert Creek Worx matched the existing design and color exactly, so the new bay reads as part of the original run — same lines, same finish, one clean structure.
The carport is built on a fresh concrete pad with 4x4 steel box-beam posts set in concrete footings, tied together with a welded steel frame and 2x6 purlins, then finished with PBR steel roof panels. It's straightforward, honest construction — squared up, leveled, and welded solid to stand up to Phoenix heat, sun, and monsoon wind season after season. The light underside panels keep the covered area bright while the dark frame ties into the existing carport.
